Not to be confused with: Chess Cannon

The canonical form of Chess is an ongoing saga originating in the 6th century A.D., and tells a vast monomedia story of a different world, a world of Queens, Pawns and Nightingales. Each game represents two rival factions - whether nations, families, or Yakuza, warring for supremacy, attempting to trounce their rivals' patriarchs. All games of Chess are considered canon unless they are aborted by a player's tantrum or family emergency.
