Checkers is Chess' rival game. Every August, Chess and Checkers have a monthly battle. In odd-numbered years, the game is played on a Chessboard, whilst in even numbered years it is played on a Checkers board.
Each piece plays by the rules from their own game. The game is won when the win conditions from either game are met. Both black and white pieces are allowed to compete.
For the rest of the year, the winning game is declared the winning game and the other game is consigned to Chess Hell.
Checkers has never won.

Checkers is so named for its constant and enthusiastic checking.
